and i’m breeding combees in an attempt to get a female one b/c they’re the only ones that evolve

and i’m wondertrading the others so i just got one and decided it’d be funnier if i gave them pun names

but i keep getting the “enter” and “backspace” confused so

i sincerely apologize to whoever’s about to get “Unbeelievabl”

Welcome to the latest episode of ComicsAlliance Presents “Kate or Die,” a series of exclusive comic strips created by one of our favorite cartoonists, Kate Leth! In this episode, Kate assuages your fears that your’e being creepy when approaching your
favorite comic book creators at conventions. Don’t worry, you’re not!
Unless you are.
READ THE COMPLETE EPISODE

I get a lot of messages from folks after conventions that they were too shy to come talk to me - and it’s heartbreaking! If I’ve traveled all the way across the country (or another), there’s a big chance I won’t be back soon. I know I can be sassy and a little brash online, but I really do LOVE meeting fans. You’re the reason I get brought to these shows, yo!
It’s a scary thing, but don’t let it keep you from having a nice moment. It won’t always be perfect and not every creator (or every fan) will be awesome, but it’s worth the risk.

SO ACCURATE!  In my three years of doing cons, I can count on one hand the people who have actually been creepy at my booth- and even then they were usually rude, abusive, or literally handsy.
I come away from conventions aglow with even the most awkward interactions that I’ve had with fans!  You could be shy, I could misspeak, we could talk over each other or drop something, and I still cherish getting to meet all y’all face to face. :)
